The Link is a £5.5million lottery funded project reaching out to young people in the area, providing them a secure base to make a real connection with the arts, physical activities and education. The complex features a regular programme of events at its performance space, climbing centre, gym and watersports facility. The Link also boasts an advanced media suite with recording studio and rehearsal rooms as well as a vehicle mechanics lab.
Together we generated a series of positive messages which form the essence of the whole brand. We turned the expressions into a series of characterful illustrations which evolve across the centre’s website, wayfinding, livery, uniforms and all marketing applications. The expressions were also hand-painted onto the vast concrete walls to ensure the community’s voice resonates throughout the entire complex and beyond.
