New Brief 4: Primary Research

Looking around Village for inspiration for this brief, we came across a lot of really nice photo journals and zines. What we noticed was the importance of stock and the actual finish of the publications, as well as the quality of the photography. In terms of photography, a lot of the images were in black and white, and there seemed to be a lot of quite bleak landscapes and more industrial locations, I guess because they are rarely explored and they make for very interesting, offbeat images. We also noticed a very lofi approach which is something we hope to achieve.
