Myself and Hannah wanted to create a booklet that would be distributed with the pack to help educate the audience about pen pals and inform them of what goes into writing a letter to a pen pal, with suggestions about questions to ask and the importance of having one. Hannah wrote all the copy and created the pattern for the front and back of the booklet, whilst I got on with designing the inside of the booklet. I decided to use the turquoise from our palette, as it was bold enough to be eye catching, and also fairly neutral and would therefore appeal to both a male and female younger audience. We added illustrations from our initial drawings to make the pages more fun and exciting to read, and we kept the layout simple so that it was easy to read for a young audience.
