New Brief 1: Winterlight Festival

As there was not enough content for the Polka Dot exhibition, I have decided to name the Winterlight Festival as my new Brief 1. 

The Winterlight Festival is a festival of light that takes place in Sowerby Bridge in December. The aim of the festival is to bring the community together and celebrate the arts and culture scene currently growing in the Calder Vale region. It was started a couple of years ago, and this year will be the third event of its kind. Janie, a fashion tutor briefed us about creating the branding and promotion for the event as they are looking to expand it and they want to position themselves as a legitimate arts festival as they gain popularity and hopefully begin to receive funding. They want a professional identity, focussing mainly on branding and printed promotion, as well as a redesign of their website. 

The target audience is families and pro active community driven citizens.
